Project Overview
Q Flooring Systems was appointed directly by the main contractor to deliver a high-performance resin flooring system to an industrial unit at Carrington Gateway, Manchester.
The project involved the installation of over 1,850m² of Flowcrete SF41, finished in grey. With a tight programme set by the client, the works needed to be carefully planned and efficiently delivered without compromising the quality of the finished floor.
A key part of the project was ensuring the existing concrete substrate was suitably prepared to receive the resin system.
Scope of Works
- Mechanical grinding of the existing substrate
- Filling and repairing existing bolt holes and localised defects
- Thorough cleaning and preparation of the floor
- Protection of the existing building and surrounding areas
- Detailed preparation prior to resin application
- Application of two coats of Flowcrete SF41 in grey
The Result
The completed floor provides the industrial unit with a durable, seamless and easy-to-maintain resin finish, significantly improving the appearance and performance of the existing floor.
The client was extremely pleased with the finished result, as was the Q Flooring Systems team.
